点评:The road from Lithgow to the Glow Worm Tunnel is mostly dirt, narrow in parts and with its share of potholes. So, drivers need to take care. And there are no service stations or cafes, in fact no evidence of habitation at all. It feels like you could be much more remote than just a few hours from Sydney - it is a real Aussie Bush experience.
The drive is about 40 minutes with the road taking you through some spectacular scenery.
From the carpark there is a pleasant bushwalk over level ground that takes you to the tunnel. In the tunnel there are many many glow worms but you need to take your time and let your eyes adjust before you see them. Turn off your torch and follow the handrail.
We saw so many more glow worms on our return trip. (You must come back to the carpark through the tunnel). It is a memorable experience.
Unfortunately, when we visited the Wolgan Valley loop track beyond the tunnel, even to the lookout, had been closed by a landslide
