Ann O'Dowd is our new friend in Ireland!

点评：Ann O'Dowd will be our first phone call when we return to Ireland.
Annie drove 6 of us "older" adults for 4 days. She easily navigated the roads of Ireland from Limerick Junction to Bunratty, skipping the "motorway" to take in the vastness of the Golden Veil, the surprising Torc Waterfall and jaw-dropping beauty of Kilarney National Park, the unique winding roads and stone walls of Slea Head Drive, the Wild Atlantic Way to Dingle via ferry, and the breath-taking Cliffs of Moher. She pulled over to the side of a country road so we could snap this pic and even got down on hands and knees to help us to answer some genealogy questions at an ancient family burial site!
Annie is a lovely person with a great sense of humor, who also happens to be a flexible, capable, and knowledgeable driver and tour guide. We felt comfortable and at ease with her immediately as she went out of her way to accommodate our pace, never rushing us, while insuring that our visit was as wonderful as we had imagined it. She always had options up her sleeve for places to eat, attractions to see, and alternate routes to take in order to optimize time and weather. She was right every time!
When our time with Annie came to an end, two of us had 4 extra "unplanned" days. Even though she was booked with someone else, she went out of her way to implement an additional itinerary with accommodations and transit instructions for those extra days.
Our trip is full of "favorite things". Among them are the 4 days we spent with Annie.
"Go raibh maith agat a Annie". Until we meet again.
