Bucket list trip of a lifetime!

点评：Our group of 21 people embarked on a bucket list trip to sail the Greek Islands. A group of college friends (40+ years together) and young adult kids had a fantastic trip aboard the Queen of Hearts and Royal Flush. Captains Dimitris and Spiros were excellent skilled skippers docking in spaces that seemed too small to fit into and cooks/hostesses Alex and Alikaki prepared exceptional daily meals of breakfast and lunch. All were consummate professionals while also being friendly making sure everyone was comfortable. One couple had a family emergency and needed to return to the US immediately. Spiros went above and beyond to help secure transportation back to Athens.
The Saronic Islands and ports of Perdika, Ermioni, Nafplion, Hydra and Poros were simply beautiful each in their own special way. Our group hiked up to monasteries for breathtaking views, explored neighborhoods, shops and restaurants. We had dinner every evening in port. The skippers pulled into bays sheltered from the winds for swimming and lunch. A hint of Fall was in the air with cool mornings and nights but warm sunny days. Lightweight layers of clothes were needed.
The costs of the trip was right on target in our estimation. We accounted for fuel, dockage, provisioning, meals for the crew and tip in our estimate along with fixed costs for chartering. Be advised to have Euros in cash throughout the trip to pay for dockage, crew meals and extra provisions. Alex and Alikaki shopped daily for pastries and other foods needed which required cash. This was not extra costs - just needed more cash on hand instead of using credit cards.
