点评：We made the boat trip from Ferragudo to Silves which was a brilliant experience. Luis ist not only an eccellent capitão but also an an extraordinary tour guide.
We learned a lot about the history of sardine fishing and the closed sardine factories, the old tide mills, the landscape or the seabirds in the Arade Delta. A little detour in the direction of the flamingos (keeping a reasonable distance, of course) was a welcome bonus.
Of course, Silves cannot be adequately explored during the short stay, but that is natural: the tides determine the navigability of the Rio Arade. The round trip is only possible during high tide. But the hour and a half is enough to soak up the atmosphere of the old capital of the Algarve. And the fantastic boat trip makes up for the short stay in Silves completely.
