Launceston Visitor Information Centre的点评
点评：The staff are friendly and helpful enough, but the premises is dated, and its displays static and bland. As evidenced by the likes of the visitor centres at Wynyard, Deloraine, Queenstown, and Sheffield, this information portal could be so much more. It is adjacent to Launceston's wonderful old Post office, but relocation to the mall or Stillwater/Gorge precincts would see more passing visitors. At the very least it needs to be bigger to incorporate occasional special displays for upcoming Events and for featuring clean, green Tasmanian produce. Whilst I was recently there to seek information on an upcoming Festival, the staff had nothing other than an ability to print something already available to me on a web page. No value added. Not necessarily their fault, but other Visitor Centres add value by including cars or tapestries (Wynyard/Deloraine) or by enhancing visitor engagement through inter-active displays, augmented reality, and multi-media content.
