History, Art, Inclusivity, A Rooftop Terrace, Lovely Cafe & More
Mattatuck Museum的点评
点评：You will be amazed at what you see at the Mattatuck Museum. History buffs are happy, because there's a whole floor dedicated to the history of Waterbury and surrounding towns.
Those who collect miniatures or merely admire them will be happy -- the Button Museum on the third floor features thousands of buttons.
Then there's the art -- Connecticut artists and founding families are well-represented, which is great. There's also rotating exhibits -- right now there is Georgia O'Keefe, Kay Sage, Elizabeth Catlett.
Sweet Bella is the cafe on-site -- the food is always fresh and sandwiches are prepared at the time of ordering, not in advance, so they aren't sitting around for hours, which is nice! And as my name suggests, you bet I've had the coffee! And the cappuccino ... and so on! :D No coffee complaints here!
Plus, you can rent the museum for functions! Businesses, birthday parties, weddings... they've hosted all kinds of events here. And there's a rooftop terrace ... I believe it's the only one in the area.
Tons of programs too -- concerts, art workshops, lectures. Definitely worth a visit, you will be impressed!
