点评：Visit should be planned for early morning before clouds roll in, so the best plan is to based yourself at Bourg Murat or a nearby town the evening before
Several sites worth stopping before arriving to Pas Del Bellecombe
1. Nez de Boeuf
2. Crater Commerson
3. Pas de Sables
At Pas de Sables (lunar landacape plain), the road changes from paved to gravel, until you reach Pas del Bellecombe. but any small car with low clearance can pass. just take it slow with the multiple shallow potholes
the Gite du Volcan was recently refurbished and now reopen. you are basically paying for the location but note the gite does not overlook the Pas del Bellecombe with Formica Leo cone head, because the gite is located on an offshoot road on the left.
the visit to this volcano plains and sud savage (the wild south coast) are definitely more exciting than a similar site in Big Island Hawaii.
