A refreshing, modern museum

点评：Despite reading some mixed reviews on whether or not it was a museum, I found my visit to the National Video Game Museum was well worth the money and time.
I visited as a part of a youth group, mainly consisting of lads aged 11-18, we had already visited some museums previously and they didn’t always engage the group for long. I had high hopes that this would be the perfect theme to change that. We were not disappointed. Plenty of retro games for those of that era, all the way up to games of today and some parts around game design and coding.The amount of consoles and games available to play were incredible and you very rarely had to wait to give them a go. This was accompanied by information about games through the decades and some museum type displays made for a great blend of learning and playing games.
This is well worth a visit and the price was reasonable. We spent around three hours in there and that was about the right amount of time. There wasn’t a cafe, but the gift shop was open (I expected that to be slightly better however).
Overall a great place to learn and enjoy some gaming for all ages!
