Sturdy climb but worth the views

点评：My first time climbing Slemish and I live 30mins drive away. There is a carpark and clean toilets at the start.
Go through a gate into a field with few boulders scattered about. Then your reach narrow rocky pathways.
I kept to path walk on my right, apparently if you take left pathway it is a more of a vertical climb and quite rocky.
I must admit I had to stop and rest a few times to catch a breather (not as fit as I used to be)
Due to the rocks/boulders I had to keep an eye on where to place my feet, was worried about twisting my ankle.
It was a good dry sunny day & took me about 45mins to reach the top.
Well worth the views and to get to see St Patrick's cross. Sat down and just enjoyed the view.
I was surprised how windy it was when I reached the top but I felt good that I made it.
Alot easier coming back down, again watching were to place feet in few places.
Took Collie dog with me, he thoroughly enjoyed it.
