点评：Lenyadri Ganpati Temple is one of the famous Ganesh temples in Maharashtra which is part of the Asthavinayak temples and the only one located on top of a mountain inside a cave.
Other than the temple there are many other caves to see. A good place for photo enthusiasts. Very serene and beautiful surroundings especially in monsoon.
A lot of monkeys are there while climbing the hill. Beware of them as they snatch loose bags and eatables so one needs to be careful.
To reach the temple you have to climb approx 300 stone steps that lead towards the caves. Cart facility is also available at the base that charges 1000/- per person where 2 helpers carry the passenger in a “doli” like cart which has only one sitting.
The gates at the base close at 6:30 pm in the evening for going in. Once you are inside the gate there is no timing barrier. But it is recommended to go while there is still natural light as the temple and the stairs have very limited lightings.
Ample parking space and stalls for local products and food are available at the bottom of the hill for refreshments.
