Picnic and Planetarium
Golden Pond Visitor Center的点评
点评：The visitor center has restrooms, a gift shop and a few informative panels. There is a sheltered picnic area by the pond, not far off from the nature center. It looked like there was a small observatory in the back, but I’m not sure if it is in use.
The main attraction here is the planetarium and lazor shows. Planetarium shows are run several times a day (every hour on the hour when we were there). A per person fee is charged. Lazor shows are on the weekends.
We saw Stars: The Powerhouses of the universe. Some of the show and the music was dizzying. Our youngest got a little scared as the show was a bit dramatic. Mark Hamil did the voice and part of it was animated.
After the show, there was a demonstration of what we’d see in the night sky that night and about what time. Then at the end, there was a brief lazor show.
