点评:Third time lucky for me yo complete this walk after weather stopped the other 2. We knew the weather was good all day so knew achievable. The first part always seems tough - stoney fairly steep path which gets the lungs working. A bit flatter followed by 4 undulating peaks - Yoke, Ill Bell, Frostwick and Thornthwaite with a few false summits! Worth having a brew a sugary snack during this leg! We then completed High Street the highest point - which after the first 4 didn’t seem that bad and just a gradual climb. Onto Mardale Ill Bell - fairly easy and then a bit of a slog to Harter Fell! Just think tired legs were kicking in here and felt tough. A gradual decline of 4 miles to get back which was easy but a bit boggy at times. The path is fairly easy to follow - especially on the first half!
A tough climb but great views so worth doing! Plenty of snacks are the key!!
