点评：Our tour with Steve G. was excellent. He knows the history, geography, stories, back roads and back stories of the whole area. He lives in the area and knows it so well. He is personable, knowledgeable and was always ready to modify the planned route to accommodate our requests and interests. Within minutes of starting out on our first day, we knew we had more than a guide - we had a new friend in the Cotwolds!
We learned about everything from the Viking, Roman, Anglo-Saxon history to the details of stone wall construction, thatched roof details and the economy of the local farmers. When Steve learned of our interest in local gardens, he modified the schedule to include one of the most beautiful gardens in England.
As we rode through the area, Steve pointed out the hidden homes of recording artists, industry leaders and even a church doorway said to inspire a Harry Potter setting.
On our travel to London, Steve told us about visiting Stonehenge as a child, and how the area had changed and provided us with great suggestions on how to get the most our of our visit there.
We highly recommend Steve. You will have a memorable experience.
