点评：We did the Bioluminescence bay tour. I do not recommend. First, when we arrived at the loading dock, there were no signs or identification of where to go. We found our “guide” by asking around.
We arrive at 5:30pm as requested. Since the tour would only start at 6:00, I told the guide that I was going to the bathroom nearby (about a 6 minutes walk) and he retorted that they would leave at 6:00 sharp and that I could not be late. I came back at 5:50pm just to wait until 6:15because another people had not show up.
He handed us very, very stinky life jackets. It smell like putrified water and mold.
When we left the “guide” said to follow him and it was the only thing he said for the next 15 minutes. He wasn’t kayaking. He had a paddle boat that looked like a kayak. Because of that, he could use his hands and stayed on his phone for a long time.
When we got to the spot where we were supposed to see the sunset, it was already too dark because we left so late. He blamed the weather.
He talked a little bit about the vegetation and manatees. It was hard to understand him due to his accent and distance to us. Honestly, I have been more entertained waiting at a Disneyland line. He mostly ignore us the whole time. I kept looking g back to see if the other boats where even still there because I was worried. We are seasoned kayakers but the other people clearly were not and he gave no instructions.
We didn’t see a lot of the bioluminescence but I know it is not their fault.
Final point: unless they buy new equipment that doesn’t stink and get better guides, I do not recommend.
