点评：I wanted to play a casual 9 holes on the par 3 with my younger brother who had never played on a course before as he is just getting into the sport. As we are in Christmas hours still, when you open the website it has a pop up showing the Christmas opening hours (shown in the photo) it clearly shows that on the 31st of December it closes at 16:00, we arrived at 15:32 knowing we would probably only get a few holes in before it got too dark and we were fine with that, we walked into the shop and were told that it was closed by a younger lad maybe in his 20’s. I said to him that it says on the website and on the sign on the door that it closes at 16:00 to which he replied “last balls at 15:30”, I understand this might be common knowledge to a person who has played golf for a long time however I have not and this wasn’t made clear, I then went back to my car to leave but decided to come back to speak to him again and just ask if there was any chance we could play the first hole on the par three to which he said “course is closed” I said ok but it doesn’t say that anywhere on the website, I got the website up to show him and he looked and I said “see it doesn’t say” he replied in an extremely rude manor “doesn’t need to say, shop closes at 16:00, last balls are at 15:30”. I work in customer service, I know how annoying people can be and I understand that it is New Year’s Eve however I felt that my encounter with this member of staff was very unpleasant and rude, the initial situation was out of his control and I don’t blame him whatsoever but then he made no effort to be polite or apologise for the website being wrong.
