Fabulous artist's house and museum. A must visit.

点评：The House of Aspazija is a fabulous building and unique museum located in Jūrmala, Latvia, just a five-minute walk from Dubulti station, which is easily accessible by 1/2 hourly train from Riga. Jurmula itself is so worth a visit by train or car from Riga and there is another very interesting museum that can be visited.
The House of Aspazija is an old and lovely wooden two-storey house was the residence of Aspazija (who lived from 1865 to 1943), who was one of Latvia's most prominent poets and playwrights, and she stayed there during the last 10 years of her life.
The museum and interior of the house offers visitors a journey back to the 1930s, featuring:
- A restored interior with a spacious dining room and salon and many other onteresting rooms
- A richly decorated tile stove and floral furnishings
- An antique wireless radio set broadcasting Aspazija's voice from the late 1930s
- The poet's former study with original furnishings
- There are interactive elements, which include digital technologies that allow visitors to "meet" Aspazija and her cats
Incredibly the house/museum is free to visit. We have visited it 3 times already and will do so again when we return to stay in Jurmula this summer.
It is closed on a Monday.
