Très bel ensemble architectural mais intérieurs délabrés- Lovely architectural ensemble but dilapidated interiors

点评：Le château, bâti à partir d'une partie renaissance, est un très bel exemple d'architecture du XIXeme siècle. L'ensemble des bâtiments est équilibré et la perspective sur la Charente vraiment plaisante. Le pigeonnier est splendide. Par contre les intérieurs mériteraient d'importants travaux de restauration et l'absence de chauffage l'hiver laisse des traces de délai tement criardes (odeurs d'humidité, peintures écailles, tissus muraux abîmés et fanés...). Sauf les tapisseries du salon Louis XV, pas de mobilier ou tableaux de belle facture et une salle à manger à la table dressée sans couvert faute d'argenterie. La visite présente cependant un intérêt et le guide était très sympathique.
The château, built from a Renaissance section, is a fine example of 19th-century architecture. All the buildings are well-balanced and the view over the Charente is truly pleasing. The dovecote is splendid. However, the interiors are in need of major restoration work, and the lack of heating in winter leaves glaring traces of delay (damp smells, peeling paint, damaged and faded wall fabrics, etc.). Apart from the tapestries in the Louis XV salon, there was no fine furniture or paintings, and the dining room had a table laid without cutlery due to a lack of silverware. However, the visit was interesting and the guide was very friendly.
