点评：It’s a rainy day here in Langkawi and to fill our time we thought we would go to this so called ‘mega mall’ and watch Despicable Me at the cinema. The alleged showing time was 12.30pm. We arrived around 11.30am and the cinema was closed. It was t easy to find either in a 3 story mall that states the cinema is on level 10. We found the lift and went straight to level 10 assuming it would be open or soon to open given the advertised movie time of 12.30pm. We were greeted by a metal roller door that was down and no signage advising when it opened. We decided to talk a walk around which took literally 5 mins given the amount of shops and nothing of interest to us. We saw other tourists assuming they were doing the same thing to get out of the rain. After 3 more visits up to the cinema, including the last bus at 12.15pm we decided to leave on the assumption it wasn’t going to be open. We approached several store workers who either said ‘don’t know’ or ‘should be open now’.
Workers uninterested in greeting you when going in their stores.
Full of vacant shops.
Went to marybrowns for lunch while we were waiting for the never to open cinema, totally over rated but it was the best looking thing to order for lunch. Saw a couple of ants on our table.
We waited at the taxi rank for 10 minutes, no worker at the desk. A few guys sitting around but didn’t approach us to see if we needed a taxi, only realised they were taxi drivers when one hopped in his car.
The mall has no free wifi so don’t rely on this if you need it. A store worker kindly gave us their wifi code so we could book on Grab.
