Black Canyon of the Yellowstone backpack outstanding immersive backcountry experience

点评：I did the four day Black Canyon of the Yellowstone backpack which was outstanding. Early in the season, perfect mild sunny weather, numerous meadows of mountain flowers, expansive spring-green mountain vista, river, canyons and cliff views, and wildlife. The pace was easy to moderate, well timed trail breaks for the views, flowers, wildlife, lunch. The fellow hikers were great trail companions sharing this backcountry experience. The campsites were ideal with plenty of space to spread out with Nature’s sound track of bird songs at sunset and waking us up at dawn. Our highly experienced outstanding guide Josh, a YHG cofounder, readily shared his deep knowledge of the greater Yellowstone region, the history, geology, natural history and the history of the native peoples. He also shared with us his knowledge of following safe backcountry hiking and camping practices, never were there any worries. He prepared hearty good flavored meals that fueled us up for the hike. This was my second backpack with YHGs, last year was the Lamar Valley to Pelican Valley, another outstanding backpack experience. I very highly recommend Yellowstone Hiking Guides, great guides, truly great immersive Yellowstone backcountry experiences, a lifetime of memories.
