The hike is a must-do in good weather!

点评：I had an amazing time hiking around the Quinta das Carvalhas vineyards. I did the full hike, and enjoyed the fantastic views on all sides. Given the time of year, I had the place to myself as well -- didn't see anyone else hiking, and only passed 1 tour group at one location. The trail was well marked -- the map was helpful, but it was pretty hard to get lost.
The full hike (>1K elevation gain, 6.5 miles) took 3.5 hrs (vs. the stated 2 hours), including stopping for a lot of pictures, and I wish I had time to sit at the top for lunch vs. rushing back down to make a boat cruise. So definitely give yourself time if you're going to do the full loop -- which I highly recommend you do.
The staff was very friendly helping me get the map & get started, as well as providing a tasting after the hike.
