Modern design, great location and very helpful
Portland Visitor Information Centre的点评
点评：We probably were too early when we arrived at the Portland Information and Maritime Discovery Centre. It was just after opening time and both the café and the Discovery Centre still closed. That desire for a coffee just vanished. However, the assistant at the Information Centre ably provided us with additional information for our day’s planned activities.
The café overlooked the bay and would have been a good location for hopefully would have been a good morning coffee. From what we could see the Discovery Centre also looked worthwhile to visit. Alas next time we will arrive later and see both of them.
The location close to the breakwater is perfect for views and the relaxation feel gazing across the Marina. It is modern in design and spacious with the use of available space well allocated. There are many dedicated parking spots available. The Information Centre carries the normal touristy information/brochures and merchandise as mementos of the stay in Portland.
About that coffee, we did get one from a café in the main street but it did not seem to have the same effect as the one we had psyched ourselves up for. But we will return!
