Reynisfjara Beach的点评
点评：This is the world famous black sand beach located at the end of Rt 215 south of the Ring Road near Vik. There are a couple of different carparks to manage the crowds that visit here each day. The closest P1 carpark fees start at 1000kr per vehicle while the P2 lot which is further back on the road starts at 750kr per vehicle.
Reynisfjara is where you see the deep black sand and pebbles formed from cooled volcanic lava broken down by Atlantic Ocean waves over the centuries. It is a beautiful place to visit but also known for dangerous sneaker waves. There are warning signs to not turn your back to the sea at Reynisfjara and to always be cautious of rogue waves that show up out of nowhere.
In addition to the black sand beach, you can also enjoy gorgeous basalt column cliffs along the beach, the fun Hálsanefshellir Cave and iconic Reynisdrangar basalt sea stacks out at sea off extending beyond Reynisfjall (mountain). Also make sure to look up at the seabirds making use of the cliffs here, many of them are puffins which you can view quite nicely with a pair of decent binoculars.
