Magical island overnight kayak/camp/cook, great outfitter, good value

点评：Their two day Overnight Island Kayak / Camping Trip was great. It was well organized and came off without a hitch. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Not a single complaint. Food was ample, thoughtfully planned and lovingly prepared. Island campsite was fun, pretty, tranquil and peaceful. We had a beautiful sunset and sunrise all in one trip, and in between we had brilliant stargazing and a gorgeous conjuction of the moon, Jupiter and Venus in the wee hours of the morning. Magical.
Maine Kayak was the only outfitter we could find online that advertises an overnight island camping trip with all camping gear and meals included. Other outfitters tell you to bring your own gear or maybe rent you bits and pieces piecemeal, what a nightmare. As a group of 6 coming in from different states by air and land, we couldn't possibly have had this magical experience without them. The Compleat Outfitter. And good value. It was fantastic. Tents and sleeping bags and pads were high quality, roomy and clean.
Guide Hauns was superb. Capable, knowledgeable, fun and personable, we felt we were in good hands and he showed us a great time to boot. He taught us a lot about local history, wildlife, ice age geology, old ghost stories, Maine life, you name it. Great guy.
