Just the most incredible view, and fun 4WD drive up and over.

点评：Spectacular view from the shoulder of the mountain pass, down to the beach 300m below and across the Malcolm inlet to the ghabbat archipelago.
This drive is a 4WD vehicle recommended track roughly hewn into the side of the mountain, so maybe not for the faint hearted, and your 2WD saloon car may take some stone chips and skid on the shale. It’s steeper down to the beach, so at your peril.
That said it is fun getting up there, and if, like us it’s early morning it’s totally deserted, and wonderfully peaceful and rewarding.
Obvious selfie point up there now as the tourist board has put a “I❤️OMAN sign up now to pose against.
Please don’t flock there… enjoy the tranquility.
By the way the road is a cul-de-sac, so no route round. Also I recommend driving on right to the end of the main road to salla ala, then it really is the end of the road!!
