点评：The Castle complex of museums is huge, with nine museums on site. Perhaps the best reason to go there is the Rondanini Pieta by MIchelangelo. A sculpture that he was working on for decades, that he was working on days before he died at age 88, there is scholarly debate about whether the work is finished. Whatever you decide, there are only a few places in the world -- the Accademia in Florence comes to mind -- where you can actually see a sculptor's hand and mind at work. The Pieta is not polished to a hard smooth finish. You can see the cuts made in the stone by the chisel. Not many opportunities to actually appreciate how hard sculpture really is... we see the finished, shining product and don't see the grinding effort. Here it's still visible, located in its own dedicated museum. A must see.
