点评：One of the most amazing experiences of our lives. We are so thankful for this sanctuary, not only what they do for the wolves, but their generosity in letting us experience it.
It’s a private experience- which I did not expect - and which quite frankly is something they could charge more for. I knew the maximum was 8 people and assumed that with my party of 3, that potentially 5 strangers might join us. But no, it was just the three of us. I don’t know their minimum number - but I am eternally grateful that we had Ghost and Apache to ourselves.
The volunteer guides clearly loved these wolves and we learned so much about the animals and the sanctuary - this is an animal encounter that you can feel good about - secure in knowing these animals are loved and cared for and not exploited in any way - they were born in captivity and this is the best life they can have.
As people who have experienced many animal encounters- this was one of the most hands-on. I wasn’t sure how much interaction we would have - and frankly, it’s up to the animals - but I got full-on slurpy kisses right on my face and was approached by the animals for extra pets and scratches.
Also, other animal encounters have cost us a fortune in photos, but professional photos on a thumb drive are included in the price - I got 544 photos!
They also bring some cool souvenirs with them - you can buy sweatshirts and t-shirts and bracelets and keychains MADE FROM NATURALLY SHEDDED WOLF FUR.
And the location is to die for. If a wolf encounter sounds appealing to you, run, do not walk, to schedule your adventure today.
