点评：You can visit the city center through lots of pedestrian streets, the old buildings giving this cozy, unique atmosphere that transports you back in time. You can find local products in different shops, like fromageries and such, or even by skimming through the farmers' market on Tuesday and Friday for a perfect souvenir gift. You can climb the stairs up to the entrance of the dukes' castle, walking through a giant gothic arch that will make you feel like a knight in medieval times. Feel free to stop and grab some lunch at different on-the-go restaurants, or stop to drink a refreshing beverage in the many cafés available in the city center. If you're feeling fancy, you can book a trip on the tourist train to drive around the old streets. I will always recommend visiting the old city of Chambéry, not only for its cultural significance, but also because it holds a special place in my heart, as it did for the writer Rousseau, who called it the "start of his short happiness in life."
