点评：We were REALLY looking forward to visiting the buoy! Specially after visiting the wonderful replica of the Esmeralda I'm hearing all that happened there!
We arrived at the dock looking for boats that could take us to the buoy. We ended up giving up, first because there were no boats available at that moment and we would have had to wait quite a while, and second because the place was so run-down and smelled so bad that we simply couldn’t stay there waiting.
Next to it, we saw the boat that was supposedly getting ready to depart, but it was in such poor condition that it was really unappealing. At least during our visit, two months ago, the whole area showed clear signs of neglect and abandonment. And honestly, I am not exaggerating when I say the smell of dead fish was unbearable.
We are Chileans, and it embarrasses me to write this comment, but I’d rather say it so no one else has to face this unpleasant surprise.
