点评：We visited Big Pit some 30 years ago so decided to revisit it today (Saturday 6 June). We were certainly not disappointed and noticed such a difference in what was on offer. The car park was £5 and underground tour was £5 x 2 adults. In all, we felt it was value for money. The tour underground was around 45 minutes and we had an interesting guide who explained things and tailored his talk to the audience (children & adults). The cafe could have had a better selection of cakes but there were hot snakes, bites and sandwiches available. Hot drinks were nice and staff welcoming. The “King Coal” and Bath House exhibitions were both excellent and interesting. Unfortunately, it started to rain heavily doing our visit so we were not able to explore the extensive grounds. The gift shop had a selection of gifts and, on the whole, was not over expensive . In all, a nice visit!
