Disappointing after such a wonderful and delicious meal

点评：Although my Turkey cranberry sandwich was absolutely delicious, and the outdoor seating was so beautiful… I’m sad to say that I had a very disappointing situation happen after my meal. I am a preschool teacher - and was being treated to a birthday lunch- where my sweet student was interested in looking at the herb gardens. I took the opportunity to bring some learning to the smell and recognition of the herbs. I would take the tiniest sample and let her smell them and talk about what they were called and how they are used in our meals. It was such a fun time together. I was then approached by a staff who came and asked me to stop picking any of the herbs as they need all of them and didn’t want them all gone! I was absolutely stunned by this- as we likely had less than a tablespoon worth in all of our samples. What started as something beautiful- became something really shocking. I absolutely would not have had a problem if he saw a bunch of us just taking advantage and abusing this garden- but I was incredibly careful to supervise this one child and would never have done this. (And also- the herb garden is massive and had more herbs than ever).
Her mother was watching us happily and then also so stunned when we were approached in this way . All I said was thank you- as I didn’t even know how else to respond to this man.
It left a very negative ending to what started as an amazing time in a beautiful place.
