点评:We visited and purchased 2 cones and a large 4L tub (which comes at quite a high price). There were a group of young servers behind the counter and we asked if we could collect our tub in a few minutes after we had eaten our ice cream cones. This was fine and we thought would be a pretty regular experience. Ice cream best kept in the freezer until it leaves!
We visited the observation room, which had filthy windows through to see the cows. The dirty windows reflected everything and it was almost impossible to see the cows being milked - what a waste of time! They need to clean the viewing windows and also consider installing non-reflective glass so it’s a worthwhile experience for all. We watched other people pressing their faces up against the glass and cupping their hands to try and observe the milking procedure which was well underway.
We gave up and went to collect our pre-paid 4L tub of ice cream only to discover they had sold the lot to one buyer and our purchase had been taken by another, there was no more vanilla available. We were so upset as this was a gift we were taking to a dinner party. Clearly no IT and stock system working either.
There was nothing else we wanted, no flavors or vouchers and then the circus began - the young servers, untrained and with no management could not refund us. After many attempts and failures to refund our card, they explained there was no management, no one in any control and they hadn’t a clue what to do. Having wasted so much time we eventually took cash and went on our way. Very annoying and upset with our poor experience. There is a vital training need and that a supervisor or manager needs to be present or at least contactable by their staff.
There is a classic ice-cream car there to see - with a sign saying do not touch - it was also absolutely filthy and covered in filth and dust. Not a great advert nor one that creates a good customer experience at all.
