点评:Previously in it's identity as Luton arndale Centre and The Mall Luton, this has been an adequate and occasionally pleasant shopping centre. The Mall Company refurbished most of the building around 208 and it did look more fresh. More recently a food court area was created. It also houses Luton indoor market. It's never been great, but it's had it's good points.
Then it changed owners again and became Luton Point. One of the first things they did was close the escalators at the entrance nearest the rail/bus station and opposite the taxi rank. And replaced it with stairs. Thus making the building LESS accessible to those who can't use stairs or who have difficulty with stairs.
Next they closed one of only two toilets to be available, with the promise of "improvements". If their improvements of the escalator are anything to go by, I dread to think what they're doing.
All in all the place is now much less welcoming and this is not a good start for the new owners. One can only hope that if I review the place in another year or two, they've seen sense and reinstated the escalators.
