Small and slightly expensive shopping centre with a decent Burger King and the best HiperDino in town.

点评：Situated just the other side of the GC-1 to the Sonnenland area of Maspalomas, the CC (shopping centre) at El Tablero is smaller than places like Mogan Mall in Puerto Rico but of a similar quality and price. The shops are of a limited range, mostly luxury goods such as watches and premium clothing, and there is underground parking as well as plenty of space at ground level outside.
As expected, it's impressively clean but seems a lot less busy than some of the less pricey places. Whether that's due to the location (there's not much to do there, and it's away from the bulk of hotels and hotspots of the Maspalomas area) or the scarcity of shopping offerings, I'm not sure.
This probably isn't a place for average souvenirs unless that means spending hundreds of euros on premium goods, but it's also not full of the tacky and cheap tourist-trap offerings of most of the other shopping centres around Maspalomas (and there aren't any loud and obnoxious bars to avoid here either, so that's a bonus!).
There is a Burger King for fast food (with a full range of vegan options) but the main reason why I like to come here while staying in the south of Gran Canaria is that it's got the best HiperDino in the area for meat-free options, although they seem to have stopped the freshly-baked vegan empañadas. This time round, I couldn't find them in any of the Hiper/SuperDino stores so maybe they've just removed them from sale everywhere.
There's still a good selection of vegan ingredients such as salcichas, burguesas, plus seitán and tofu to add to your meal. They even have a couple of dairy-free ice creams and sorbets in the freezer section. The shop is of a decent size that it's great for most of your shopping needs while staying in the area, so while it can't compete with the size of the Alcalde in Telde, it's more than enough for most needs, especially if you're staying around Maspalomas and don't want a half hour's drive to grab some vegan food to cook for yourself.
