Terrible Service, Broken Equipment
Kitty Hawk Kites - Nags Head的点评
点评：I used to love Kitty Hawk Kites, but they have gone downhill. Between 2012 and 2020, I rented equipment from them many times and neve rhad a problem. But in October 2022, my experience was terrible. I ordered two kayaks, two kayak dollies, and two bikes. When we arrived at our vacation house, the kayaks and bikes were there, but one of the kayaks had no rear handle, making it very hard to carry from our house to the beach. Plus, one of the kayaks was filled with water (you'd think the company would drain them). But most importantly, the dollies weren't there! I called the next day, and they eventually delivered the dollies, but when they arrived, it was clear they were designed for narrow sit-in kayaks, not the wider sit-on-top kayaks we had. Plus, even if we did have sit-in kayaks, the dollies wouldn't have worked because the hooks that hold them on to the kayaks were broken off and missing! When I called the company to ask for help, I talked to two different people who seemed not to care and were unclear on what the problem was. Eventually, I called again and asked for a refund of the dollies and at least one fo the kayaks - since, without the dollies, we couldn't get the kayaks from our house to the beach. They gave me a refund for the dollies, but not the kayaks, and not once did anyone I speak to apologize for the problem. It seems like Kitty Hawk Kites employs people who just don't care.
