Surprisingly lovely experience given its rating

点评：Due to the low accomodation rating yet lovely looking layout we did a wine tasting and what a great pleasant surprise. The grounds are lovely and diverse and the wine tasting throughout the month is held in differing areas. We also had the cheese platter which was exceptional (includes droerworst surprisingly). Wines were really nice especially the 2015 Shiraz. Best of all was Leon the wine waiter, come food waiter, guide, and heavens knows what else he does. No pretentious wine reviews but an earthy honest friendly and amicable experience. Wasn't overly busy and Leon took time to show us the wine cellars filled with aging wine where they also hold wedding receptions etc, fabulous, his knowledge of the wine farm and its activities was very interesting, they even manually attach labels to the bottles. Leon also showed us around a few of the rooms which again most interesting. They obviously cater mostly for the home market but this place hasn't been spoiled by modern glass and metal structures and gushy sales staff. Farm has been in the same family for five generations and its a refreshing place to visit. Will be back later this year for a stay and the Sunday lunch on the lawn.
