点评:Its well worth taking a stroll slightly out of Lavenham on its Western approach to take a look at this imposing church on its elevated position. And especially if you have already paid a visit to the wonderful Guildhall Museum in the centre of the village and have read the information plaques about the wealthy wool merchants who bankrolled the building of this church between the 1480s to the 1520s.Those merchants were primarily the Springs and the De Veres and the building is decorated with the coat-of-arms of the families. The Spring arms, as well as the merchant’s mark of Thomas Spring, appears over thirty times on the exterior of the building, while the star of the de Vere family surrounds the top of the tower.
The church is open daily from 8.30 to 6pm and there was a very good painting exhibition by local artists taking place when we visited.

教堂每天上午8:30至下午6:00开放,我们参观时,当地艺术家举办了一场精彩的画展。
