Parking is a couple blocks away, but nice facilities

点评：We were trying to go to the Gulfside City Beach, just slightly west of this beach, but the small parking lot there was already full. So this was kind of an emergency back up when we arrived about 1130 on a Thursday morning in April.
The parking is about a block and a half away from the actual beach so you need to be prepared to walk a bit. There is a nice bathroom and water fountain near that parking lot, though.
We weren’t able to spend a lot of time there that day as we were flying out that evening so we didn’t have full beach gear to bring that day, and so the lack of shade at this beach made it less desirable for us.
There are bathrooms and beach showers right near the beach so that you can get cleaned up before you go back to your car.
I did see some reviews about tiny bugs of some sort. We were only there for about 30 minutes, but the next day, my daughter and I had a couple unidentified tiny insect bites, so it’s hard to know if we got those insect bites here or not, but we were only there for about 30 minutes and we didn’t sit down on the sand at all.
However, compared to the shelling that we had done the previous day in the Venice area, the shells were incredible here.
When we went, they were a good number of people there, but it didn’t really feel crowded.
