The inspectors said they could tell I wasn’t trying to fare dodge - as I had paid for a ticket already - but tried to pretend they were hand tied to “follow the rules.” It’s absolutely disgraceful that this company relies on unfairly profiting off working, honest people, rather than taking any nuance into a situation and acting like NPC’s who can’t think for themselves.
Furthermore, the ticket prices are always inflating and the trams aren’t even reliable. On previous occasions I have paid for a day ticket on the app, only to reach Nottingham and find the services are reduced or not running where I need to get to - but they made no effort to notify me in the app, before taking my money.
Other times tram drivers will see you running to the ticket machine, but won’t give you chance to buy a ticket before shutting their doors.
NET is a cold, ruthless, robotic-like company and if you can, should be avoided. More often than not, you’ll have a far better experience and pay a better price on the bus.
