Very Enjoyable Cruise

点评：We booked the 3 day, 2 night cruise as we really hasd no idea of the content. Friends who had been gave us a better idea and we eagerly awaited our coach ride to Murray Bridge to join the boat.
Here was a little disappointment as we had to find our way to the Adelaide Coach Terminal to get on the coach, but the driver, Gordon, made us comfortable and welcome, pointing out some highlights as we sped by.
Then to the boat where we were shown our cabins, remarkably spacious, given a briefing and a delicious meal as we moved up the river to a night destination.
Plenty of chatter around the dinner table and after as we went on thru the dark to tie up against a lovely park. Literally secured to a tree.
After a peaceful night and a delicious breakfast, we set off toward Mannum for the next night, keeping an eye out for all sorts of birds and other wildlife, having another great lunch and more convivial company. Some of the wildlife was of the human kind, cavorting on their jetskis and wake boats, others more sedately on huge houseboats. Great to see folk enjoying the mighty Murray.
An eco tour to more closely explore the birdlife and get a close up look at the cliffs, a coach tour of Mannum and district, including the non existant Mannum Falls (no rain) to learn the history of parts of the river and hear interesting stories of characters in the past. In the evening we were entertained by a minstrel who sang all the songs us oldies knew and continued well beyond his scheduled time as we were all enjoying it so much.
We could not fault the service from the very small crew, they all had smiles as they multi tasked to make our journey enjoyable, The food was excellent, the cabin great and the whole experience one to be recommended.
