点评:My family and I headed here today for a day trip and unfortunately I was really disappointed. I think we came in from the wrong entrance however we walked for four hours and seen nothing but trees most of which were broken and blocking the paths which isn’t helpful when walking with a buggy so I’d say it’s not wheelchair friendly at the moment. There wasn’t enough sign posts throughout the walk we seen one map at the very start and a few old posts with locations on them but nothing to say where the park is or Punic area anything like this we just had to guess and sadly even after such a long walk we did not find either of these things. I also had a few concerns, my son (17 months) was jumping in puddles as toddlers do until my partner realised there was oil / petrol in the water which is one thing but further on in the walk we noticed two factories on the walk that would produce highly toxic waste that they could be dumping so id be very wary about water on the Broxburn / Livingston side of the park. Once we decided to walk back we exited the walk at a different location that we entered (very close to said factory’s) and there was a sign saying there was confirmed bird flu cases which we now only knew once it was too late this should be on every single entrance to the park to ensure parents can keep their children safe. Near the end of the walk there was a nice waterfall but there isn’t any great places to view it from but it was nice to see. The other bonus was there was a snack van in the car park and the staff and food were lovely and very cheap prices! Overall I wouldn’t recommend going in from this side with children, anyone with disabilities or who needs wheelchair access and personally myself wouldn’t take my dogs due to the water. Thanks
