点评:We entered the park to see the fort, however once in we realised the Zoo and museum were part of the same complex. Starting with the positives, this was good value and the museum in the park was definitely interesting.
However, it has to be noted that the Zoo is extremely concerning. The size of the enclosures are woefully inadequate for the animals housed there. Particularly bad is the elephant and tiger enclosures which have no privacy, nothing for the animals to do and are far too small.
The animals look very depressed.
Some of the cages for the smaller animals are absolutely appalling. 2x2 meter cages with maybe one platform or a log to sit on, tourists poking at them through the cages and many of the animals cowering in the corner. Some animals are also housed alone which just to make matters worse.
The bird enclosure we thought would be better claiming to be the biggest free flight enclosure in the world. Ironically though the space was mostly occupied by flightless chickens and pheasants! The other birds were held in individual cages around the sides completely defeating the point.
