点评：There are so many facets to D-Day that you don't have time to see them all. But it's an eerie feeling to see original remnants of World War 11 that are still there...after 81 years. Like the German artillery battery at Longues-sur-Mer and Mulberry Harbor at Les Falaises d'Arromanches. During the invasion of Normandy, immediately after D-Day, the allies established an artificial temporary harbor to aid the unloading of heavy equipment without waiting for the conquest of deep water ports such as LeHavre and Cherbourg. Along with the staggeringly large concrete blocks, which were needed to form Mulberry Harbor and towed over the English Channel from Britain, the museum brings the massive allied operation back to life. It explains how Mulberry Harbor was set up and details the Battle of Normandy, from the landings on D-Day to the crucial months of allied action that followed. Then visit the Arromanches 360, a cinema that opened on the 50th anniversary of D-Day, to see archive footage of the D-Day landings, recalling the 100 days of the Battle of Normandy. The remnants of Mulberry Harbor are still visible offshore, a haunting and fascinating reminder of the largest amphibious event in history. Today, Arromanches-les-Bains is a popular seaside resort, a wonderful coastal landscape with steep hills and a lot of history.
