点评：The Lutheran church is one of the prettiest church in Greenland. Built in 1909 in the Norwegian-styled wood or Stave church is painted in brick red with yellow details. It is flanked by two cemeteries with leaning crosses marking the graves. It features seven white windows along each wall and a prominent bell tower with double doors in a porched entrance. As with Lutheran churches it is was not ornate and in plain colours.
The church was extended to accommodate larger congregation. A wooden model of a sailing ship hangs prominently from the ceiling as a votive offering of ancient tradition. Twin rows of pews with a central aisle leads to a sweet alter.
Outside of the church there is a monument with an inscription – explaining that ‘Otto Fabricius (1744-1822 a Danish missionary) loved Greenlanders and taught them that a living God was present in all living things and they should love their country and its language'.
