点评:Individual tour. Indeed last one of the day and I think I came as a (not entirely welcome) surprise to the docent on duty. We had plenty of time, and things felt a little rushed at first, but eventually conversation helped smooth things along and I actually got to learn a little about Natchez historic house culture - like any organization / social structure, there's always behind the scenes politics involved, but it does seem you can make your way in with sufficient commitment to the cause :) So thank you for taking some time to share a bit about yourself. The house itself is fine, even comfortable - this is one of three stylistically similar houses I visited this trip and probably the livable - maybe it's the urban lot and the fact that this was designed to be a 'modern' city home. My guess is the brown exterior treatment causes some to give this a pass - it really shouldn't. This was an attempt to emulate NYC fashion, so at the time this would have been 'trendy' if maybe a little ill advised for Natchez.
