Peasant's architecture - a dive into the old times.

点评：In Sighetul Marmatiei - on a hill at the outskirts of the city is the village museum of Maramures.
Particularly interesting since it is only displaying houses from the region of Maramures (Astra Museum in Sibiu has houses from all over Romania, and there are also others) - and only the sub regions of Maramures are represented.
Entrance ticket is about 10 Euro - but the entry ticket is also a post card- so you get something from your money as a memento of your visit - plus and extra post card independent from the ticket- kids, students and retired people have a discount.
Parking is kind of small in the courtyard after the entrance - but you can also park on the street outside of the village museum.
Visiting - will take you in the range of 2-3 hours , however if you rush you can do it in like 1-1,5 hours too - depending on how interested you are...
Also the majority of the houses have QR codes and if you scan those with a smart phone you got your audio guide explaining about the item on display - not all the houses are open for visiting but the majority are.
Overall a very nice experience - interesting and since there is located in a large park it is great for strolling too.
So when in the area of Sighet ... check out the village museum , from my perspective it is worth it.
