点评：I have lived in this area for over 50 years and I am sorry to say that in all this time, this was my first visit. The house was obviously very grand and has been well lived in over the years. Now it is a little tired and could do with a lot of money spending on it. However, that said it was a joy to be conducted on a tour by a very enthusiastic lady, who really did know all about the house and contents. It was rather like walking around some ones home, where one could touch and sit on the furniture using care. It was a great learning experience and a real pleasure to discover what the house has to offer. There is one surprise too, but I won't spoil your visit by saying what it is in this review.. you will not be disappointed! The gardens are pleasant to walk around with old machinery dotted about and horses roaming with two Llamas for company. The horses are very friendly, the Llama more aloof! There is a café where tea, coffee and cakes can be purchased, with seating outside. This is very quaint with old tables and chairs, an interesting experience. There are toilets. The walled garden is being maintained and is obviously a lot of work, but they are getting there.
