点评：I booked a 4 hour AM charter on 12/27 for 15 family members who were all staying at the Dreams Jade Resort adjacent to Marina El Cid. This was a first time vacation for our large family to an "all-inclusive" destination and I thought an excursion for the group would be a great addition to the week.
The booking process was extremely easy, with a clear and complete website that correct detailed the costs and content of each package. Matt from Sales followed up quickly with questions I had in regards to the booking and was extremely helpful to give me the info I needed to finalize my decision on booking.
Once I arrived at the Cancun airport, I was greeted with a detailed and informative text from the Paradise charter team on where to go and what to bring, allowing me to focus on relaxing and enjoying the early part of our vacation. Maria El Cid is reachable via a 10 minute walk on a serene ocean side path from the Dreams Jade Resort or via taxi from other area locations.
On the day of the charter we arrived 15 minutes early to finalize arrangements and were escorted to the boat, where we met our guide Frank and the rest of the 4 man crew who would be taking care of us for the day. After a brief safety discussion we set off. The crew began making drinks immediately and answering any questions we had about the boat and area. Frank was extremely friendly and accommodating throughout the journey.
We hugged the coast (about a half mile off) for about an hour until we came to a spot nearby Playa del Carmen where we snorkeled and swam off the boat for a good while. The crew allowed the kids (and adults) to jump off the boat and provided a floating raft to swim onto. During this time the crew prepared some amazing cerviche, pica del gallo & guacamole which was plentiful and consumed quickly by all.
The snorkeling was fun with sightings of a moray eel, stingray and multiple varieties of striped fish. The kids enjoyed diving and swimming more, however, and our only regret was that there was more than 15-20 minutes of that activity built into the schedule. Another hour backtracking back to Marina El Cid amongst gorgeous views completed the journey.
The service was excellent and the day was a highlight of a great week long vacation. To have the full boat chartered for my large family with full usage was key for us vs large group boat partial charters which we past throughout the day. I would strongly recommend using Paradise Catamarans if you are staying at the Dreams Jade or surrounding resorts. 5 stars for sure!
