Great shopping mall - perfect for families
尚泰乌隆购物中心的点评
点评：We stayed just south of Udon Thani for around 5 to 6 days and found that even during peak traffic hours, it never took very long to reach this shopping mall.
The complex features a large multi-storey car park, and although I was initially a bit concerned that our rental car might be too high for the height restrictions, it ended up being absolutely fine.
We visited this mall on multiple occasions during our stay because it is such a convenient all-in-one hub.
On one of our visits, I easily exchanged some money at the SuperRich branch inside, which was essential since we were moving on to Nong Khai right after this leg of our trip.
The main reason we kept coming back to the mall was to eat out. Our kids can be quite fussy at times, so having a wide variety of dining options under one roof was a lifesaver.
The mall perfectly accommodated everyone by allowing us to mix Western fast food like McDonald's and ice cream treats from Dairy Queen with traditional Thai dishes. My personal favourite was the Food Park food court located downstairs.
It operates on the typical Thai cashless system where you load money onto a card at the entrance kiosk, use it to pay the vendors, and then get any leftover cash refunded at the end. T
he food court was very reasonably priced, and I had a Pad Thai there that was exceptionally good.
Beyond the food, the mall is brilliant for families. We took the kids to Kidzoona, which is an excellent indoor soft play area that kept them thoroughly entertained.
Central Udon also benefits from a great location, as it sits very close to some lively outside markets that are well worth checking out once you finish shopping indoors.
It is easily the best place in the area for an stress-free family day out, and we highly recommend it.
