点评:After many, many trips to Coal River Farm for breakfasts & lunches (which have all been great) we chose the venue for my daughter's hens day celebration. Staff were not interested in our group of nearly 40 that were in the marquee. The tables were not set at any stage, we lined up to order drinks which never arrived even after taking each order's name, they ran out of bubbles (yes, for a 40-person hens day booked months in advance), they ran out of glasses (strange seeing hardly anyone had a drink yet), then we lined up again to order food, some of which was unavailable and took up to 1 hour & 40 minutes to arrive. Despite asking numerous times 'where is this meal?' the staff would say they'd check but then not return with an answer. Some meals were not as ordered when they arrived. At one stage I even went to the pass to pick up one of our guests Arranchini as no serving staff were doing it. My niece had to hand out cutlery to every one. I had rung the owner Melanie to complain about what was happening, left a message and she didn't return my call, then when she arrived at the venue I sought her out and spoke with her but I may as well have not bothered. She said she would be out to speak with me but that didn't happen. The restaurant was woefully understaffed and the attitude (and hack of hustle) by the 3 waiting staff was a disgrace. I had to go and ask Melanie to have her staff clear the tables as no staff were going near us.
I had hoped that in the few days that have passed since our event on 11 October I may have received an email or call from Melanie Leesong. Unfortunately I haven't, so I am left leaving this review. Such a shame after all our positive experiences. I won't say I'll never return, but as of now, it will be a long time before I would even consider giving them any of my money again.
