点评：Looking for a "day trip" from Knoxville or Pigeon Forge? Seven Islands State Park will fit the bill! Plan for a day outdoors to hike and make memories. Paved trails are available for wheelchair access and wildlife abounds beyond the many many birding species found. Deer, turkey, and yes, the occasional snake, can be seen among the many wild birds that call the park home. Come prepared for resting on the many benches along the trails and the historic house that offers a front porch perfectly perched to observe nature in the round. You can spend hours just watching the river and its' visitors from the pedestrian bridge built for perfect viewing. However, be prepared that if walking the easy rolling paved trails, there is not much shade offered on the main throughfare as compared to the shaded wooded areas. Bug spray or your homeopathic o ils that prevent those pesky biting "no-seeums" that seem to prevail in the South is an absolute must. I would probably leave the fancy smelling perfumes that attracts bees at home or in the hotel room too. But, with this said, the many and wonderful once-in-a-lifetime sights outnumber the reasons for your bypassing this terrific natural East Tn treasure. Come for the day and I guarantee you will be making plans to come back.
